Dr. Dara Beck

Dr. Dara Beck graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1991 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University in 1995. She practiced in Texas and California before moving to Michigan and joining the staff of the Animal Medical Center in 1999.

Dr. Beck lives in Dexter with her husband and three cats, Adidas, Gandolf, and Sapphira. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, skiing, and cooking.

Dr. Lucian Blajan

Dr. Lucian Blajan has been with Animal Medical Center of Saline since 2007 and took over ownership of the clinic in 2015. Dr. Blajan completed his veterinary credentials at Purdue University and has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1989.

Veterinary medicine is constantly changing, and there are new challenges every day, but the joy of caring for pets and helping people is always satisfying for Dr. Blajan. His primary medical interest is in all types of surgeries with a concentration in orthopedic surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Blajan enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and reading memoirs. His cat, Charlie, “rules the roost,” along with the newest addition, Ginger. Ginger is a dog Dr. Blajan adopted from the Bahamas in 2021.

Dr. Michelle Socha

Dr. Michelle Socha has been working at the Animal Medical Center since 2005. She received her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in 1996, with a double major in biology and chemistry. Dr. Socha went on to earn her DVM from Michigan State University in 2001 and has been a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association since 2001.

She began her career in large animal medicine, primarily focusing on dairy cattle, horses, sheep, and pigs. Two years later, Dr. Socha transitioned to practicing small animal medicine with a concentration in cats and dogs. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and engaging in activities such as gardening, camping, and various outdoor pursuits. Dr. Socha is a dedicated supporter of the MSU Spartans.
